How is it that you would know how/where the fire started and that a fire extinguisher or two would have made a difference? The vital importance of having working fire extinguishers.
Well... if I were a betting man I'd say it likely started in the stern near the batteries, outboard or fuel tank. A little bit of situational awareness, acting quickly and using an extinguisher or two could've changed the outcome of the story for the better. Fortunately no one was injured. How is it that you would know how/where the fire started and that a fire extinguisher or two would have made a difference?

The Carolina Beach Fire Department and New Hanover County Fire Rescue responded to the scene.www.wect.com
Maybe not If the value agreed on was set before the Covid mania, the boat may be worth more now then when insured. It's a crap shootGood advertisement for an agreed value policy!
Agreed But during Covid, used boat prices rose by almost 40%. In order to be adequately covered, you would need to change your agreed value assuming your insurance company would allow it and then probably have to pay a higher premium. Vey few folks I know would do that. That darned Propane grill again....................
On value it is a crapshoot to negotiate actual value, agreed is agreed.
