I just replaced the GW logos on the hull. Now I'm looking at the hull striping and naturally I want to freshen them up to match the new logos.
The place that I got the logos from does not have the striping.
Any suggestions on where I can either get the oem striping ( I already have an email into GW cust. serv) or where I can get matching vinyl striping tape.
I've been on a lot of websites with tape suppliers all I see is "dark blue". I'm not sure this will match. What is shade of blue is Grady Blue? Is it Navy blue, royal blue?? It looks almost black.
Anybody????

STRIPING

I had the same issue a couple of years ago, needed striping for two boats. Found some at a dealer, but not enough. They ordered it for me. Not cheap but not the most expensive thing on a Grady.

My '89 Gulfstream striping color is "Corbin Blue." I got it from a sign maker in Virginia Beach. Don't know if there were any other colors used on Gradys.

Thank's. I'm still waiting for G/W to get back to me. The closest color I can find readily available looks like a regular navy blue. I'll see what I can find out about "corbin".

So, what is the color? I bought mine (two roles--one wide one narrow) for less, but I can't recall how much, and it was enough to do my boat twice. You know; dock rash like sheiza happens...

I don't know the actual color. I gave G/W the details and they gave me the part number. As a matter of fact they just sent me a chart with all the various Grady striping patterns that are still available. You can match it up with what is on your boat and the part # is right there.
I was trying to figure out how to post it on this site incase anyone else wanted a copy. Do you want me to email it to you?

No need to do that. Just thought the info would be helpful to others with a striping project.

CrazyG - why don't you PM the administrator, he can make it one of those stickys for future reference, or do something like that.

I just read this again, and to be clear... 8 years ago I e-mailed Grady-White and they told me then that the striping color on my '89 Gulfstream was Corbin Blue. I then went to a sign and graphics shop in VA Beach who had that color and width striping (both the wide and narrow size). I don't know if you can get a single roll with both stripes on it from Grady, but, I would think that would be pretty hard to apply around the bow area due to the curvature. Before you pull your existing stripes off, I would recommend you trace a line in pencil along one side of each stripe. It would make exact placement easier for the new stripes. The pencil would then come off with wax after the new stripes dry.

Hi guys, I am from Panama City Rep of Panama in Central America. I just re painted the entire boat, changed the rail among other things. I am looking for the complete kit of stickers (lines, name logos) for my 1993 25 Sailfish. I see all tips, but is there a place to buy the entire sticker package?. Thank you.

If you send me you email address I can send you the Grady White Chart for all their various stripings along with the part numbers so you can match them up with what is on you boat now,
The striping and logos can be ordered through anu authorized Grady dealer. I've had good service with www.hobbylobbymarine.com

striping

Heres the route I went. My neighbor is an auto graphics guy, but you could contact any one of the detail shops in your area.
I ordered a 150' x 15" roll of dark blue, the heavy outdoor grade vinyl. He measured out the width of the stripes, and all the logos on the boat. He then made all my logos for me . I have about 90' x15" of the roll left and I have alot of striping left over plus extra logos to boot. (just in case the boat gets dock rash or something).

Just a thought, and the cost for what I got was very good IMO. :)

Thank you all. I got the lines details and size.

Now I only need to talk to a graphic designer to make the letters and Sailfish graphics.

Has any body seen that on the net?. Size of letter and other details.

I just got some from GW dealer. There are several different line widths and styles . Best to bring a sample. Hint it has two sides that have to be peeled off. The top skin comes off after you havre it applied to the boat hull
Best to do it when warm
