Grady white 205

Hi all,
I am looking at buying or finding a 2004 thru 2006 Grady 205....have seen listing with yamaha 150 all the way up to 250hp? I am curious as to what would be the optimal power for this particular model? What I like about this model is the flexiblity of using it for cruising or fishing and the fact that it has a head...makes all women happy! Like very much to hear from current owners of this model as to their pro and con on operating this particular model...Thanks.

I just sold mine a couple of weeks ago. It had a f200 and topped out at 41mph.

I had one with an F225...would run about 46 at WOT.

If you are tall, make sure you sea trial the boat and try to run it standing up. I'm 6'3" and never could get comfortable running the boat standing up...the side mounted throttle was too low.

Other than that...loved the boat.

Thank you for your input..never occur to me it could be an issue. I am 6' 2" ...I am so used to center console that it never even cross my mind that the control could be an issue. Thanks.
