Hi all, I am new to the forum and have bought a 228G seafarer with a honda 225 new last year in Western Australia. This is my eighth boat since 1994. I love this boat which is used mainly for fishing and travel to the fishing spots as far as 65kms away from shore and also for overnighting in various places. There is one very worrying problem which I have tolerated for quite a few months, continuing using the boat, so as to hoping to identify the source of the hard knocking and grinding noise coming from the bottom of the floor where the helmsman stands. This happens when the boat takes the impact of the waves on the front starboard quarter seas. The seas need only to be whitecapping to cause the scary noise. The noise sounds like a fairly large panel knocking the underfloor. Have any of you exrerience this problem?
