Has anyone swapped out the porta-potty head in the Gulfstream and put in a new marine head? (the thru-hull for discharge overboard and Y-valve are there and but would prefer a better true marine head rather than the plumbed porta-head)

Thanks

New models have a marine head w/electric flush, 7.5-gallon (28 l) holding tank w/macerator, overboard discharge & deck pump out, according to the brochure. So I guess a retrofit is possible assuming the hulls are the same mold.

Yah, thanks Seasick - the newer model Gulfstream is a much better setup. I've got an '04, which I purchased last year. Mine is a plumbed porta-potty type, and I think the holding tank is part of the porta-potty unit.
I'd like to convert to marine head, with holding tank like the newer models; just curious if anyone out there has done this as a DIY project on their Gulfstream.

I suspect that the holding tank install will be more difficult than the toilet itself. There are some marine/RV toilets which are more similar to the ceramic style, but still have a self contained holding tank.
