Hello - I have been looking at used GW 205 and 225's. I think I might go for a used 2004 205 with very low miles and Yamaha F150 engine. Price is around 26k and boat is in excellent condition. Does that seem like a fair price?

It seems like a similar year 225 is in the high 30's to low 40s.

Thanks!

Thanks - I tried, but it looks like they will only accept about 26k. Boat shows like new. I have a better idea of 225 tournament prices than the 205's.

I just got a 205 with a F200, and aluminum trailer for $23,500 in South Carolina.

Where are you located?

I saw 2005 205 going for 34k in Connecticut.

Yes, it was that one. Looks like a extremely clean, low hour boat. I tried to get lower, but the lowest they will go is $26,000. So, you that is too high for that boat? Thanks for the help.

Check out nada guide on the boat and motor price, and remember that you have to add the boat price and the motor price.

It is a very clean boat and had lots of extras. Those two captains chairs are $800 a piece alone.

I would say its a fair deal. The 205s were started in 2004, so the used market on them doesn't go back that far.

I took me MONTHS to find a used 205 in good shape, they are tough to find.

One thing I didn't see were the hours on the motor. Any idea on hours?

That seems like too few hours. I would ask the owner why the boat was used so little.

Before I bought that boat I would verify the hours with a Yamaha shop.

No - it was not me. I took too long debating between a 205 and 225. Now I am focused on a 2007 225 with 124 hours on a F250 Yamaha. I think $38,000 would buy it. Does that price sound good as long as the boat checks out?

If you can buy an '07 for $38K, I would run, don't walk, NOW to the seller and get a deposit in his hands.

The motor is probably still under warranty...the hull is certainly under warranty. That is a good deal.....
