GW 258 Journey - need opinions - ride and fishability?

I am looking at a 2004 GW 258 Journey with twin 150 4's. It needs a little attention, but nothing too serious. Before I pull the trigger, I really want to know the good and the bad. The only negative I found so far is the lack of a decent fish box.

If you have been specifically looking for 25' trailerable walkarounds, stop looking. It's arguably the best 25 foot walkaround on the planet. You might have to wait a while to see people complain.
If the price is right, buy it!

On the other hand, if size isn't a limitation, wider beam boats have their advantages.

The 258 is a GREAT boat you can do a lot in. It will handle some good sized waves with ease and fish very well. With the twins, you should have no problem around the dock and is something I wish I had. It is a lot of good things, but one thing it is not is a stay aboard weekend boat. It works as an overnighter, but anything more you will find kinda cramped. I had one for 8 years and loved it. You won't be sorry.

Thank you. I can't see more than an overnight once in a while. I'm looking for the basic comforts of a cabin with the close as possible fish ability of a CC.

Scott. Have had ours for 11 years now and still love it. Very 'fishable' transom, in my opinion. We overnight fairly regularly and it's okay for a weekend. Cabin cushions are too hard for us so we replaced with aftermarket. With a hardtop or in calm water you can chase a fish around the boat pretty well. On bumpy days it's a bit tricky to work a fish around the boat by yourself.
