GW 330 Rocket Launcher (cockpit)

Any pics of a pompanette " small crab" rocket launcher installed on a 330? any other Rocket launchers on 33's or advice /experience?
want one for fishing and added rod placement.

I would love to see how you mounted the base in the floor. Is it recessed?

No, I used 4000uv 3m marine sealant between the diamond nonskid deck and the bottom of the base plate. It’s thru bolted underneath. Half my plate is bolted through the section of the deck that has the metal piece glassed in, the other half of the plate is bolted aft of the plate. Then there is another pretty plate as seen in photo that goes over top and covers screws then the stanchion attaches to the pretty plate. Release does have a plate you can recess into the deck. You would have to route out the deck in a 4” circle I believe then mount the plate.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but is the idea that you troll rods directly out of the launcher and/or do you fight fish with the rod in the launcher?

I've used fighting chairs on charters in the Caribbean but never used a cockpit mounted launcher... I did add 3 rod holders to the transom of my 330 for trolling on my center rigger...

@Everwhiom, I wish I could add the transom mount, but there is no room with the 350's. Looking for options for center rods.

Ah yeah - there's just barely enough clearance when I tilt up my F250 Offshores... Guess the 350's are too big?

I have a 4 rod pompanette on my 2003 330 but it really sucks a lot of room from the cockpit. I've run without for the last 2 years and prefer the more open cockpit...but I do have the plate mounted on the deck that I'm not wild about.

When it was on, I did use the rods for trolling. Been a while, but recall at least tips outrigger lines were from the pompanette.

Did you look at a the V-Lock rod holders? I installed a removable 5 rod holder with 3 V-Lock's and just need to remember to take it off before I tilt the engines up. Got the rod holder from Palmetto Trooper on THT.

Well, there is not enough space to sneak the power cord in front of the motors in the up position, if I have the engines covered.
