Some recent maintenance and personal upgrades to my 1999 Adventure 208.

Added 2nd bilge pump.
Replaced pry up hatches with spin off hatches.
Raised the seat ( got the idea from another member on here - thank you! Still need to water test)
Raised standing platform.
Added NMEA network, just motor hooked up at this point.

Next is to set up my ditch bag. I need to get a new handheld vhf with gps.

Hi Summer, I have a 2018 F150 Yamaha. I bought the Lowrance Engine interface cable on Amazon for about $90. Yamaha has a proprietary nmea cable they sell for much more. I have 2 friends that have used the lowrance cable without issue for a 70hp and 115hp Yamaha. If look under the engine cowling in front by the wiring loom, you should see a white connector for the lowrance cable. I do not know your motor so please make sure you have the connector. From there it basically plug and play for nmea. You do need to power the network as well, any nmea starter kit will give you what you need. Also, lots of YouTube vids with instruction. Hardest part was running the wiring in the boat.

@ summer - the Lowrance Cable I used is 120-37. Not sure if your motor is listed there.

Thanks a lot! Definitely going to do this when I flush mount my garmin. Does it also show fuel mileage and stuff like that if you hook up you gas level?

Hi Summer, I have not gone thru all the gauges yet, I just ran the motor off a hose in the driveway and saw the RPM go. The unit should display any info that the motor relays, so temp, pressure, amps and fuel rate. I have not put it on the water to run thru all the gauges yet.
