This has been a discussion before...

I've used 0000 wool and car wax with some success.

I was thinking maybe try a Clay bar like they use on cars?

i had this on my shower glass. we did use vinegar, but we had to let it sit. we soaked paper towels in the vinegar and "clung" them to the glass. hit them with a spray bottle of vinegar to keep them from drying out. it still took a bit of effort, but it worked

You can also get MUCH stronger vinegar at Home Depot. Regular vinegar is like 4% vinegar. This stuff is about 30% vinegar... don't let your nose get near it!!! As noted, gotta let it sit for a bit. If not, go to the 4-ott steel wool - although I personally use bronze wool simply because you won't get those annoying scraps of steel wool that leave tiny little rust stains.
