Hello everyone. It's been 6 years since owning my last boat and 10 years since my 93 GW gulfstream..."kids in college". Was looking for a small trailerable cc and picked up a 2001 sportsman with 354hrs on a hdpi. Compression and fluids checked out great. The boat was used in freshwater and stored indoors. The hull shines like new. Going to be running in the Cape cod area mostly inland fishing and beach hopping and was looking for a pretty flexible boat. Hope I made the right choice.
Any advise on buying Grady factory stuff like cushions or am I stuck with the dealer?

Thank you.

Welcome back to the Grady family! If your criteria is a small cc, the heck yeah you made the right choice. I prefer the dual console tournaments just because of seating flexibility and open rear cockpit, but that's just me. If you want cc, then you got a great little rig. Not sure about the cushions. I had my old ones redone on my tournament at a local shop. But they had the old ones to use and recover. If yours did not come with the boat, then the dealer may be the easiest option. Enjoy the new boat!

If you want Grady cushions you need to go through a dealer. These kind of sales they drive customers to local dealers. You know your wants and needs better than us. If what you intend to use the boat for then it seems like a great fit. Good luck and post a picture when you get her.

Find a local vendor....they will make the same cushions as you would get from GW and they will cost you less $$$

Congratulations on the new boat....

I second that. A good marine upholstery shop will make your cushions for less and you can pick the fabric and color is you want.

When I bought my 228 new in 09 I took my cabin cushions to an upholstery shop. I live in rural western NorthCarolina so there are no marine shops here. Anyway, we frequent mountain lakes which have clay banks. I did not want my kids getting red mud clay on the factory cabin cushions as they are cloth. The local shop took my cabin cushions and made navy blue marine vinyl or naugahide exact matches of all 4 cushions. They clean easy and are in great shape. So I do also concur you can fibd a local shop for cushions or if you want OEM ones you will need to go through the dealer. Nice boat.
