I have a 2024 GW 336 with ~30 hours on it. The center helm seat will not stay locked in a position using the slider mechanism. The seat will simply slide back and forth with the wave action as the boat runs. It was working when the boat was delivered. Has anyone had a similar problem and diagnosed the root cause? I'm going to be in FL next week and would like to dismount the seat and fix the slider if I can. I really don't feel like trying to get it back to the dealer for service under warranty. Any help is appreciated.

I would have that fixed by dealership to avoid discussions if something with DIY goes wrong.
However, check well below the seat,
at least my twin bucket seats have a kind of wired dented bar who lock or free the sliding mechanism.

You make a good point about future warranty claim if it's not a simple DIY solution. Thanks for your response.

Sounds like a missing spring, which holds the adjustment bar against the teeth of the slider. Is there any tension on the adjustment lever , when you move it in either direction does it spring back to the resting position? Does the seat stay in position if you hold the lever either forward or backward?

Good input, thanks. I'm going to at least diagnose it when I'm next in Destin. Appreciate your reply.

If driving to the dealer is easier, ask if you can pull the seat off and just take it to the dealer for inspection.
