1986 204c Family fisherman having trouble finding a helm seat bushing that fits correctly. My base has a 2 7/8" diameter and the seat base is about 3" to 3 1/8" and the bushing is 3" high. The bushing is a hard white plastic and most of what I am finding is black plastic but not as hard as mine. The bas has numbers on it where it attaches to se SA851209. I attached some pictures. any help would be appreciated

The black one I got from a local GW dealer but its a thicker material so it doesn't fit.

These are relatively standard. Put a caliper on it. How much is it off by? Seat clamp is loose? Can you open it up a little with a screwdriver?

Springfield Manufacturing in MO makes most of the seat bases.

Tried opening the tensioner and the nut to expand it but the bushing is definitely thicker. I located something at West Marine in White nylon that looks similar I will try to pick it up tomorrow and see if that works. It looks the same.

The black one is most likely Delrin. The white one is probably nylon. The Delrin is much better material as it is much better suited for water contact. Take it to a local machine shop and have them open it up . Should be relatively inexpensive. If you were in my area I would do it for you . I have to make some for mine and I will definitely use Delrin. Hope this helps.
