Gents - My bro-in-law just bought a 300 Marlin that was rigged with Lee Jr. outrigger mounts and the outriggers (Lee 18' single spreader) are brand new still in the box. Now know why they were still in the box as is looks like they are not going to work (spreader wires wont clear the hardtop). Is there a way to make these riggers work? If not, lookin for suggestions on non-spreader outriggers for this boat....Do you have to use Lee poles with the Lee Jr. bases? Taco? Rupp?...also, unless there is a solution....for sale, brand new Lee single spreader outriggers.

Thanks in advance for your comments.

Hello,
I bought a set of 19'Lee's extra strong poles with no spreaders and have no problem pulling spreader bars for Tuna.I am using Perko wishbones that were left with my Marlin and the poles fits the tube precisely. They don't look as sexy as spreader's but definately work. Also,Perko makes a very nice locking mechanism for the hardtop to fasten the poles while cruising. They're a special order when purchased aside from the outrigger package.
Good luck,Chris
