help with garmin sat weather

Went out 40 miles sunday decided the forest should be taken with a grain of salt. Still nice day though picked up acouple nice dolphin. Looking at XM or Sirius weather for Garmin 740s. The 51 seems to be cheapest but only goes out 40 miles? Sirius has no limitations??/ What do you all use?? Thanks

I have a Garmin designed for both car and marine use. It is not my main plotter. It has XM weather stuff on it and the limitations are not Sirius XM, it is the limitations on the Doppler weather radar feeds they use to sendto your plotter. So if the land base radar can only track a storm 40 off that is all the data you can get. I have fished out of Charleston, SC, many Florida ports and i had solid weather radar in thr 50 mile range. It is a great tool to use to navigate around weather. It meets my needs well.
