With so many folks staying at home, the volume of posts has really increased and that has actually been very helpful since it helps me kill time ( my wife doesn't agree and yells at me to get off my a**.)

I don't know if I am getting a bit confused in my old age or if this staying at home is the cause but I find lately that I have responded in one thread to a topic discussed in another thread. Now in defense of myself, some of that is caused by hijacking threads and changing the topic but more often than not it is because I mistakenly respond in a thread to a question in a different thread that has a similar title.

For example; 'Help' ,' Help Please', 'Can anyone help'? etc Or' Is this normal?',' how does this look to you?'
Better title might be. 'Help with oil leak" Does the crack in my hull glass look serious?" How to troubleshoot tilt issues' etc.

Is it just me?

I think a basic description of the actual thread subject in the title will not only attract those that may have a posititive contribution, but would help others with similar issues find the thread in the future rather than creating a new thread or looking to another forum for solution.
I also believe the excess of free personal time many have due to the social distancing and impact to the work force due to the orders from the government will have much larger effects than just the titles of threads.

p.s. nice thread title S.S.:D

AGREE!
"Help!" is not a question...

Also, seems that nobody uses Tags on their posts. Tags are great way to search in the future. Way better than searching the text of titles and posts.
They only work if the OP uses them....

Totally agree!!

Reason why I started posting is to gather valuable information on the topic, and leave that for those who need it down the road.

Edit: There is no good reason not to check spelling in the subject line as well. Since we are not standing face to face, typed words do the talking for us.

I understand that in a lot of instances when a problem is encountered, many will say HELP:)

So, I guess posting help, I got an addiction to meth , boats and hookers is better than just saying help my wife thinks I am at work. Lol

You make a solid point. I try search here on my topic questions before I post a question. Putting the topic in the subject line improved that search function. Also, like others say, putting it in the topic allows for those with similar problems track it or offer advice on fixing it.

Over all though, I find you guys to be pretty helpful bunch as far the interwebs go. Y'all are kind and patient and generally quite affable. I come here for sound advice, I go to the Hull Truth for entertainment. There are people there that are just unhappy mean spirited souls. Lol, but man is it entertaining though. Kind of like the Tiger King. Lol.
