With red snapper, gag grouper, amberjack, and triggerfish seasons all closed, we headed offshore to harvest some black seabass and mangrove snapper. The seabass down here are smaller than the ones up North and on the Atlantic side, but they are usually very abundant in 50-70 ft of water when the stage up to spawn in February and March. We ended up with a good box of seabass and mangroves, but the out of season species turned out to be a problem. We released many gags, a big red snapper, and a nice triggerfish before we were done.
Sorry, but no bikini pictures until it gets warmer.
