How do I turn off tracks on my Garmin?

How do I turn off my tracks on my Garmin map without deleting existing tracks? Don't want to get rid of the ones already on the map, just don't want to make new ones.

Go to Navigation Chart screen.

Options...>Layers>Manage User Data>Tracks>Active Tracks...>Record Mode>Off

I don't recommend turning active tracks off. You should Save any active tracks you want. You can save a bunch if you like. Then clear active tracks to get rid of the clutter.

On the GPSMAP devices it's hidden under
Where to -> Tracks
From a chart, select Options > Layers > Manage User Data > Tracks.

They have also a onboard user manual: just click on the Gear symbol and then Owners Manual -> Manual -> Open
