how to change gunnel cushioning in my islander268 back deck?

im having trouble removing the cushioning surrounding my backdeck.
does anyone have any idea of how to dismantle it off the side of the boat as i cant find any screws that i can access.

look on the bottom side of the cushion (mesh area). There should be some metal loops in the mesh, above them is screws. It is a PITA, but I have them off of my Sailfish.

REAL PITA!
On my Sailfish the grommets aligned with nothing.
Had to search to find screws.
Must have been a factory Friday install!

Look behind the gunnel for the end of the screws sticking through... I found a couple of these the hard way while running some lighting...

Anyone know what the cushioning material is and how i can purchase some? I'm in australia and would get a canvas guy here to make it up. cheers from Australia.
