Assuming you're talking about portlights?

A picture would help, but it sounds like your screens are glued to the inside of the frame and then the rubber seals are stuck (they come peel-n-stick) onto the screen. Meaning, the screen is sandwiched between the frame and the seals. If you want, you can get new seals that have a groove in them to accept a stand-alone, plastic-framed screen that pops in and out. This is assuming you have Bomar/Pompanette portlights.

I believe the older windows have an integrated screen as Dennis indicates and are not easy to remove/replace. I'm not sure of the manufacturer, maybe GW customer service can be of assistance? If you do find out, pls post as I'm sure many people would like to know.

I have the same boat, mine appear sandwiched in the frame as others have mentioned. Please do let us know what you find out, i always assumed if i had to deal with the screens I'd be doing the window removal/reseal job. The escape hatch is on my list for sometime this year.
