Just recently completed last leg of the Loop, from St. Marks home to West Palm Beach. A friend from St. Louis joined me. He is not a water person at all. He was the photographer and took more videos than I would have. And everything was on his phone, so I did not do the daily posting that I would have done on a solo trip.

So trying to post that trip now, but can't figure out how to insert a video into a day's posting. Copy/paste doesn't work, at least not for a media file. Maybe another file type? Or maybe it just can't be done. Which would cut done on this already short story.

posted this link as a test only. You could create a YouTube channel for your trip, and post a link here, or anywhere else. There may be a way to do it directly here, but I have tried in the past unsuccessfully.

If you really want to add it on here, I believe you need to click the symbol to the left of the GG.com banner that looks like 3 hash marks, scroll down and go to “Media”, then click on either “Add media” or ”Your media” which is in then “Your content“ link, which should allow you to add whichever videos you want to add. I think you have to upload them into a pre-made folder that is the model of your particular boat, but you can at least have it on here, if that’s what you want.

As the others have said, it’s much easier to add it to YouTube and then post the link in your reply on here… of which you can just add the link to your text, or when you hit “reply” you’ll see the symbol that looks like two chain links or the symbol that looks like a picture just to the left of the parentheses symbol. I believe either of those should work for you, but I really don’t think either is necessarily required, it just might not show a preview or picture of the file when you link it, just the link to YouTube itself.
