Anyone replace the vinyl on the bolsters themselves?

Yes, I did years ago. I redid the wrap around bolsters on my 208. May aim was to replicate the originals as best I could and that meant using all the pieces of an original as patterns. I replaced the foam with Dry Fast, a somewhat expensive foam but one that will not absorb water. I did the welting, mesh bottom, grommets, etc. I bought a used walking foot industrial sewing machine too.
Would I do it again? Maybe, it was a lot of work. Just removing the old staples was a knuckle buster.
I used Seaquest pleated vinyl, Seaquest plain vinyl, premade Seaquest welting, all color matched. The only piece I reused was the backing plastic. Oh, get yourself a pneumatic stapler. I think I used close to 2,000 Monel staples.
