Hello,

I have just bought a 306 bimini from 1999 and suddenly there are some marks on the gelcoat. there are also some oxidation marks on the aluminum bimini. what should i use for cleaning?
I read that you have to mix white vinegar with water to scrub. Has anyone tried this method and if so what is the dosage?

Pictures would help. I don't know what your 'marks' are on the gelcoat.Always start with the mildest product such as boat soap, From there try a cleaner for fiberglass. Next step is a cleaner/polishing compound. After that it's rubbing compound and if all that fails, wet sanding, followed by polishing.
There are lots of videos online.

Regarding the aluminum, there may be oxidation or it may be corrosion ( more likely for a 24 year old boat). Be careful since hard scrubbing with abrasives or strong cleaners can remove the anodizing. Light corrosion and oxidation can be cleaned with the right cleaner. Heavy corrosion can not be easily removed if at all
I have used Woody Wax and a bronze pad. For tough areas, the wax is left on for hours or a day. Read the instructions. Woody wax is a great deck treatment also
