I have a 2005 Marlin where the port side vent (I think its the fuel vent, mislabeled on the GW owners manual) has broken and corroded. Has anyone ever changed this out. I don't know how to access it unless I go through the wall of the bunk under the cockpit. The vent has a clam shaped appearance.

More likely, it is a head holding tank vent and not a fuel tank vent.

Dave, the kind of vent that it is... sort of a moot point, right?

I'm not overly familar with your boat... but have disassembled/assembled many things like this over the years. Is any part of this "wall" that you're talking about removable? Is it a hard wall or a soft wall? Can you just cut an access hole?

Hard to say without being there or at least seeing a bunch of pics.

All the aft cabin walls are removable in my 330. Where is your holding tank? Take out the wall that is over the vent location and look.

My point was that it will be in the vicinity of what it “vents.”

Yes sir, access is the key. If can get to it, I can fix it.
If any of those beige colored screw, caps are damaged or lost they are readily available and cheap online. There are two pieces to each one.
