I would be interested in getting feedback from the membership regarding the installation of a Sea Star HK6400A-3 system for a 95 Yamaha 200. I currently have a cable system which is rusted and needs to be replaced. The 6400 is a kit that includes the helm, cylinder and fluid. The hoses will be purchased according to length necessary.
If anyone has installed, I would appreciate hearing back on the good and the bad.
Thanks

I just completed a cable conversion to hyd baystar system this weekend on my '92 190 tournament. I had the same rust/corrosion problem with the old cable setup. Not a difficult conversion, I should've done it sooner. Works sweeeeet :D

While I was at it ended up pulling motor and resealing w/5200 all transom penetrations (new brass splash-well and scupper drains, main engine and kicker mount ss bolts, resealed swim platform and bilge drain). Well worth the trouble seeing these old grady's have a history of water intrusion in the transom :-| ........everything dry inside

Willy,
Installed new Sea Star and new control cables as well. Very pleased with the result. Will reseal the transom edges next time I get the engine off.
Thanks for your comments,
