I have a 270 Islander and saw that an interior rod storage option was offered. Mine does not have this and I was hoping that someone with a 268 or 270 Islander may have pictures of how they handle hanging their rods up and out of the way.
Thank you

Excuse the mess but the port side uses a starboard material for the rod holders. The Starboard side has 4 j-hooks with bases. All mounting is with thru bolts with finish washers. I'm in the middle of a makeover on my boat. The rods holders have to come out while the console is painted. I I can blueprint them if you like. Someone may have done this already - just not sure.

They look exactly what I had envisioned. Pictures up close or sketch would be great. Did you make these?
I would love to replicate them.
Thanks!!

They are factory. Over next few weeks I’ll pull them.

I’m close to pulling them out. Probably this week.

can you check something on your 270? Look at side windows and tell me if there are any markings on them. Get me a picture of inside and outside.

Are these the windows? Or the cabin windows?

Cabin windows. Yes - that helps.

I have the rod holders out of the boat. I have photos for you on a cutting mat. 3/4" thick Starboard. Seafoam color. We are not making pistons so this dimensions should get you close.

First two photos are forward port side. Other two are aft port side about the middle of the window. I'll get hole placement and spacing for you. This is mounted on a 268 Islander. Mounting surface offset may be a little different on a 270 - GW went to a different window..

You guys should find someone who makes Starboard products on a CNC router machine. See if anyone else wants a set. I have a local guy called Offshore Eddy. He does a lot of Starboard work. Replicating from a real part is easier than free handing it.

I have a text out to Offshore Eddy to see what it would cost to replicate. Anyone else out there interested?

I don't work for these guys. I have used them before for a wood replacement project and they were excellent.
