Cupholders come in many different sizes. Measure.

Is the cupholder "area" sufficient for rod holder use? Most places where cupholders are installed are thin, maybe 1/4" or so, fiberglass. Even just for rod storage while running, make sure you beef up underneath.

Bigger hole. They make rod holder/cup holders that fit perfectly

Prob best to pull one out and see how GW cut the gunnel. Know for sure than you can look around for some combo styles.
Here is an example. As you can see, they are not inexpensive.

OEM Cupholders are siliconed in around the flange. Rodholder/cupholders will require a wider flange with screws for strength...in some cases a backing plate if you are actually trolling from them.

Remove one to verify the hole diameter. Normally its 3.25" for a cupholder unless you have a very old boat with "can" sized cupholders.

"Mates Series" was the original brand as far as I can tell. They are quality. GemLux is top notch.
There are cheap chinese SS ones on ebay/Amazon that are fine for "carrying" rods or holding your beer.

You need to consider;

Suitable thickness at existing cupholder location
Will the new wider flange fit in the space? The OD of the flange is normally 4.25"
Shape of flange? round, oval, notched
Angle? ....0,15, 30 degree will your choice of angle actually fit in the location...
Screws in wood or thru bolt with washer or backing plate
Drainage to center of bilge or to the deck
