I have a jabsco manual pump for my 2001 sailfish, the jabsco model is for the years 1998 to 2007 I believe( light blue sticker). I have a small leak at the top which I understand is common and easy to repair etc. Also the pump has been always stiff to operate and I figured I would need an entire rebuild kit since it appears it was never done prior. My question is they sell a rebuild kit for aprox $70, but I also found I could get the entire pump assembly for around $85? For an extra $15 I save myself the headache of taking the old one apart and possible causing more harm then good. Instead I remove 3 hose clamps a few screws and I have a new assembly? Is there something I'm missing to this?

Amf: just to confirm, you replaced the entire pump assembly correct? Thanks again!
