Keeping busy and feeling it

Since some restrictions were eased in NY with respect to marinas, I have been able to get to myotherboat twice this week. I went there today to compound the upper deck and helm area and get a few other tasks dome in preparation for launch soon

When I started at about noon, I noticed that my container of compound was a bit low. I said to myself, "I hope I have enough compound to do the whole upper deck".
Three hours later I was saying " Please let my compound run out"

I am not getting any younger and I will be hurting tomorrow as I was after compounding and waxing the hull a few days ago. If I weren't so cheap, I have someone else do it!
In any case, maybe another day or two of work and I should be ready.Note that I didn't say "in two days". I will need to recover first.

Right there with you. Seems like every bit of work hurts my elbow, shoulder or hip, and I’m only 45. What’s going to happen 30 years from now? Hope you can get in the water soon. I’m heading to the lake for a test run tomorrow.

Before COVID happened, I started doing some remodeling and expansion at one of my stores. Initially, I was going to hire a lot of it out, but we have been shut down for 7 weeks now and I decided to keep going doing a lot of the work ourselves.

The last 3 weekends we have been doing boat work starting with replacing fuel fill hoses. Today I installed a new GPS . I am going to replace scupper hoses and then detail the boat. The topside gelcoat needs some buffing and compounding. That will be in a week or two.

This week I am installing a floating floor. It's actually Friday and Ssturday so no boat work this coming weekend. I know the feeling though.
