List to Starboard under power

2000 Adventure 208 list to starboard under power 3200 and above
Any help??

I know I can adjust trim tabs to compensate, was looking for cause.

Is this your first boat - or maybe first "bigger" boat that planes and/or has power trim?

Explain how you trim the engine.

Did it just start doing this or has it always done this?

Does it sit in the water?

First bigger boat, tabs full up - adjust port tab down to address list.
Sits level in water and doesn't list until under load 3200-3300rpm - speedo inop

What your saying doesn't make sense, if it was listing to starboard you would add some starboard tab to level it out. Why are you running with the motor trimmed all the way in?

Aha! Good! It sounds like you get a freebie here - it's just user error. You have to trim up to get more speed. Trimming up gets more boat out of the water. Too much hull in the water while on plane causes listing.

For the "port tab" thing... are you actually saying that you are adjusting the port BUTTON? That controls the stbd tab.

A few questions: What model motor is on the boat? What prop?
Is the skeg straight?
What hole is the motor mounted in?
Mechanical or hydraulic steering?
Can you get to WOT and if so what are the revs?
Please verify that the hulls lists as opposed to turns to starboard.
My first thought is that the motor is not trimmed correctly, raise it up a few degrees. perhaps the motor is over propped, if so WOT will be low.
Second though is that a trim tab is deployed too far or is possible deploying ion its own (not very common but check)

Is there anything else aft that might cause uneven drag ( more on on one side)?

My 208 does the same thing.

I figure its the two batteries in the starboard corner plus me at the helm. A quick touch of the tab and all is good.

I will say this though, a 93 208 is tender. In other words it's super easy to get it less than level. Wind, seas, weight, it'll lean.

My thought was to adjust the sacrificial zinc torque tab on the aft of the anti-cavitation plate. It sounds to me like that's not adjusted properly and you're experiencing prop-walk. You're then compensating by having the motor slightly turned to starboard to go straight, which is causing the boat to keel over.

thats your problem. too much motor in water. Leave tabs all up (not doing anything) after popping up on plane trim the motor up to optimum ride and rpm.

Great. On a roll. Now what is your WOT RPM trimmed up to neutral position?

You have to go faster get more ov the hull out of water and then when it starts to list use the opposite power trim keep trying different ways take your time

Check this out if it is a bigger HP motor then you are used to.
