I need to replace the connection for the ball valve handle and the rod that that fills my live well on my 228 any help on finding that part would be appreciated. I think I need a complete new rod.

Does that extension include the ball valve itself and do you happen to know if it's the same size for both the livewell and raw water washdown?
By extension, it is just the metal rod and not the yellow handle that is shown in the pic right?

The fork on the lower end is called a clevis yoke, or a rod clevis, if you have to replace one. When I bought my 2000 Seafarer last year, it was completely rusted away, so a steel one made it into the production by mistake, or GW may have used steel for a while. A nice person at TH sent me a stainless one. SS replacement is about $15 online, but the clevis pin is not always included, so check.

Just a heads up, you may want to vacuum your bilge as I’ve had shavings and debris like that burn out my bilge pumps. The debris gets caught in the impeller. It’s always something!
FYI - Just bought two as it’s only a matter of time before that bolt on my 2000 228 breaks off and it’s all rusted so taking off won’t be easy….

That looks like a new seacock in an old bilge. Is that correct? How bad was the replacement job? I'm considering doing mine.

3-4 year old post. But that's what you'll need if yours are rusted off or seized shut. I replaced mine a few years back, the rods were good but the handles for seacocks were rusted off. You will stand on your head going into the bilge after them. The pics of that bilge at the first of this thread was beyond nasty. My throat was closing in and felt a smother coming on looking at it.
