Looked at a 33 express, many issues.

Holy depreciation Batman! Damn. I've got slightly more in our 270 than a new 330 buyer has paid in tax! And that's with new engines, electronics, trailer, canvas and more. It never gets old when someone who doesn't know Gradys asks "is that new?"

OP, if you are resourceful, motivated, and can do a lot of DIY, that booat could be a good buy at $50k if rot doesn't exist elsewhere. If your favorite tool in the toolbox is a credit card, move on!
I paid a little over $300k for a brand new 330 in 2017…which is close to what the boat would sell for today. That’s very low depreciation.
I think someone paying $700-800k on a new 330 today will be lucky to recover half that amount after 8 years.

Looks like covid did you a favor. Let me know the next time your cristal ball sees that kind of event in our near future! :)

Yep!
Same for many other things, but boats and RV vehicles got hit more than others als covid lead people to get a isolated place for them/their family.
My friend sold in May 2020 all boats he usually sold in one year and neither boats or outboards where available and if the price was stellar.
Same for RV vehicles and trailers and price is still now stellar.
The Italian GW importer bother me with buying a new GW and here in Italy price for a 2024 306 Canyon is between 350 and 400 K, depending on options and particularly Yamaha outboards and their optionals like DES.
However, it's not only GW, all boat makers raised their price considerable, unfortunately.
I was lucky and bought in 2017 my first rv trailer and 2018 my VW Amarok, bought the Amarok for 42K with 3500 miles and 8 months and sold it 2022 for 41K with 40K miles on the clock. I still have the RV trailer, but if i would sell it i would get at least same i paid back in 2019.
Then first hit supply chain problems and then COVID and prices exploded.

I forgot to mention two important things regarding the boat. If it has sat on land for three years, a moisture meter may not tell you if there is moisture in hull since the hull can dry out. To add to that is the issue with stringer rot and hull rot on the sides of the hull near the transom. There are problems with water seeping into the hull through the deck to hull seam under the rub rail. A tapping test for hollowness near the water line in addition to a visual inspection of the inside surface (in the bilge) of the rear hull can help determine if there is a water intrusion issue.
