KA IV had the rode that was getting chewed in two.

BTW, I doubt that Lewmar, or any of the windlass manufacturers, make their own rode, but I doubt they will tell you who they source it from, either.

I see. It’s strange that it’s cutting it. I wonder if it isn’t old or inferior anchor rode.

I talked to Lewmar about my rope to chain splice not getting swallowed up by the windlass. The anchor rode came from Defender with the windlass. Lewmar was quick to tell me to buy their anchor rode. I understand - they know theirs works.

When I had my 208 (I upgrade to 232 last year), I had this one Lewmar installed it worked great.

I have replaced all the guts of the Lewmar windless. Have yet to try it out . Hope all is OK.
