We went outside to put the boat cover on. It was sprinkling and I wanted to make sure it stayed as dry as possible.

Now, hopefully later this summer we will be adding a LOT of concrete around the house. One area will be specifically for the boat.

I still need to protect the boat, but I really am hating the snaps. Once the hard top goes on, I want to have all the snaps removed, or at least all the ones I can remove, and get a really solid cover for the boat that has some means of being added easily...and does not use snaps..

I will, eventually, cover a 12x35 area for the boat, but still want a cover for it, even under that, as it will not have sides on it.

What all do you recommend?

Are you envisioning this cover going over the entire boat? That's going to be a big, heavy, cumbersome cover and I think you'd be cursing it in very short time. You could have it made in two or three pieces that zipper together, though. The lower "hem" that goes around the boat... put a 1" nylon strap in it with a ratchet securement in a protected "pocket" to keep it out of the elements. Basically, a really long ratchet strap. Done right, that can get it so tight you could even trailer with it.

I want the best UV protection I can get. I do not mind if it is in parts, nor whether they zipper together, just so long as it gives it some sort of protection, top to bottom.

The cover for the concrete, when it goes in, should be good enough for most of it, and I may just use a really big tarp and bungees till then, so I can get it fit right the first time. I think the entire boat will not be needed, really, once the cover on the parking goes up, so protecting lower down... i.e. the main hull, will probably be sufficient, or maybe similar to the cockpit cover I have now that covers the cockpit from the windshield to the transom, but extend it over the sides and use bungees or straps will work.

Either way, will be custom, I guess.

Just want to keep this baby clean as I can and in as good of shape as possible.

I am also getting quotes on a cover from stem to stern and to the water line. It is for a 282 Sailfish. They arent cheap, between 3k adn 4k and am looking at aqualone instead of sunbrella.

Boatcoversdirect.com Purchased a cover for my 265 for $900 out the door and will be purchasing another cover for my Montauk ($450). They are not customer but the fit is amazing for non-custom and keeps the boat clean while in storage.

Check out THT, there was a cover guy that advertised on the site. Not sure if still there. Fisher makes them as well.
