The touchscreen on my existing A98 is not working and hoping someone out there might have a used unit for sale that would allow me to swap them out.

There's a brand new one on eBay for $850 as well as a few used ones in that same price range at around $800. Others aren't working or are just for parts at the $500 level. I know very little, if anything about Raymarine, but it appears that the A98 is an older model? If so, instead of spending $850 on older technology, I'd maybe upgrade your electronics and buy something a bit newer? From looking online, it looks as though you can get a brand new Raymarine Axiom 9 9" display for $800.

Thanks for the great response. Yes it is old, but I am hoping to find a used device of the same model to swap it out at a “reasonable” price. Agree that the $800 eBay unit compared to a new device makes it worth the upgrade to new. My transducer is compatible with the old Raymarine device and an upgrade to a new device (not keen to go with a new Raymarine) might require me to change that adding to the cost. Bottom line, trying to get away with the lowest cost solution to get me through the next couple years.

No worries. Again, I know very little about Raymarine electronics as I'm a Garmin fan and have Garmin electronics on my boat. If it were me, unless you're planning on selling the boat or something similar, I'd take the time to upgrade the electronics now. As opposed to spending the $800 for an older technology MFD, and then having to buy all new electronics again in a few years. Or whatever your current plan is. I know that for me, I bought a Garmin 943xsv for around $1,300 and then the transducer was another $300. Which yes, that is double the $800 mentioned, but I'm hoping it'll hopefully last me a good 10 years, if not more. Either way, good luck with your project.

Last year when I was upgrading my electronics, West Marine had a deal on the Raymarine Axiom 9" RV. It was on sale for $699 and you also got a free 3D transducer. It was a smokin deal.

West Marine actually has the same MFD on sale again for the same price, just no free transducer.
