I just ran 30 miles offshore first time this weekend and seas became very rough 4-6' and the autopilot never missed a beat. I use it all the time and love it. Saves a lot of manual work and an get lots done with it. Not sure how I ever survived without one! It has worked flawlessly.
I do wish that they would improve the software so that when you cancel a route, that it is easy. Seems I have to press cancel, then standby to disengage, but maybe that is just me doing something wrong. Otherwise, like I say, it never misses a beat!

I would make sure it can handle the 250's and your steering system. If it turns easy and you use a tie bar to one engine, then it should work, but check the specs on that part to make sure the pump can handle the bigger motors.
