Hey guys, looking at purchasing the lumitec seablaze x2 underwater lights for my 330 ex. Anyone have good luck with these? Want to make sure I get good ones before putting holes in my transom. Any dealers out there? Thanks.

I have them on my express. They were replacement for the original UW lights which only lasted a few seasons. 5 seasons so far and doing well.

I installed the under gunnel mounted dual color LED strips years ago and going strong without an issue. Well made product. If you can get over the drilling, lumitec are a very good option.

Thanks for the reply’s, drbatts do you have two on the transom, is that plenty of lighting?

I have 4 Lumitec Seablaze white/blue lights on my 330 Express and in my opinion it's the perfect amount for awesome light output. Proper prep and installation will ease any concerns on putting a hole in your boat. I have a dealer account with them if you want to pm for any options/pricing.

I just have 2. They light up great though. The problem is they are directly behind the engines, so with the engines are down a lot of the light gets blocked. I bought the boat with lights already installed that way and just updated the lights.

I have 2 of them across my transom, and they are the best option IMO for boats under the 40’ range. I have a 232 gulfstream, and the bracket makes it kind of tricky to get the proper placement, but I was able to get them situated. I would say on a boat that size, I would consider 3 across the transom. Make sure you get them plenty of power to them as well, proper gauge wiring, and consider long wire runs. I would also consider the poco lighting interface, as you can adjust the colors and etc through the mfd (if going with the full color spectrum option) I have all my accessory lighting on that device, to cut down on the amount of physical switches. Also you might want to consider drilling larger holes and using thickened epoxy to plug them, and then drilling those holes out to mount the lights. This will give you peace of mind that if whatever sealant you use fails, you still will keep the water out of any of the coring material used in the transom.

Good info, thanks for the reply! I ordered two, we’ll see how they do I can always add later if needed.

I have a leftover Lumitec Seablaze X2 in blue/white I never installed on our previous boat never been opened. Not sure if you would be interested in another one. I would sell for $200.00 plus shipping. I can sent pics if you would like.
