Hi All
I have a 2005 Marlin 300 with a strange no brand fuel pump on the diesel generator. Does anyone recognise what this is? It is heavily corroded and needs replacIMG_2953 copy.jpegement ASAP.

Are you saying the actual PUMP is corroded... or just the ground strap?

The green color is not "corrosion" - it's verdiris and is actually copper's natural way of protecting itself. If you want, clean it up and then you'll be better able to tell the condition of the ground strap. It sort of looks like that ground strap is replaceable?

I guess I'm a bit old school... If you have it out and have the time, replace it. There will be other things right around the corner that will come with boating, best to knock them off when you can.
I'm going to proactively replace the macerator on my boat this spring. Going to get the entire section vs just the pump. Might as well get the grinder and housing as well as the motor....
