I'm in need of more rod holders, and ones that can be adjusted for angle. I'm not inclined to install black plastic Scotty mounts on my Marlin. I'm fishing for salmon, halibut and albacore.

If you have rod riggers or other holders that you use, please post a photo and information on where to buy. This is driving my crew nuts, they like to have those salmon rods down, not up in the air.

If you have added rod holders on the side or back of a 2007 Marlin, how did the install go?
Thanks in advance.

Agree horizontal angle of rod better fishing for salmon.

In the month I've been using my Marlin, we have used the rocket launcher on the downrigger boom adjusted as horizontally as reasonable, and also the Scotty gimbal mounted rod holder in a similar fashion. I know you're not interested in the black patchwork of assorted rod holders I've described, but it works... the cushions on the gunnels have prevented me from going to more of a metal hook and hold type of holder. The cushions may be gone soon, however....

Tight lines, they're headed this way!

I recently installed Cisco gimbel mount rod holders on my 208. Thry are rock solid, adjust to every conceivable angle, machined from solid aluminum and made in the U.S.A. I installed a pair of the triple rod holders. I believe they have holders that can accommodate at least four rods. Google Cisco Fishing products for their info. They are mfg. In Cleveland, Ohio. I did not want to drill any holes and these were the perfect solution for me. The are quite pricey, but then top quality usually is.
