I've just bought a '98 GW Adventure 208. The running lights work fine, but the "plug-in" masthead light with new bulbs does not come on.
I've cleaned the receptacles on both ends of the plug-in post. If it's at the fuse panel, or somewhere else, where do I look to trace it? Thanks.

I have the same problem. Put my tester in the mast and no juice. Fuse OK....wires run in the tubes of my hardtop. After several tries to find out the cause of the problem, I ordered a battery operated LED light from here. Don't use it very much but at least I have it just in case. Pole and light ordered separately. Not cheap.

Check for 12v where your masthead light plugs in. If you have 12v there, try spreading them a little so when you slide in the light they make contact with the female side.

If you do not have 12v there, check for 12v coming in/out of the switch. If no good there check for 12v coming in and out of the fuse/breaker. Pretty much just have to trace it back to where it begins one thing at a time.

good luck.
