Thanks Guys, it was a blast!

The weight Im not sure of, we guessed around 45lbs?

My bait shop was closed by the time I pulled out that night,

wish I had though, A 50" is a pin fish in Ma....Damn!

Guess I'll have to go for another one.

Got plenty of filets of it!

I got it off Scorton Ledge in Cape Cod Bay.

Trolling lead core with a black 24" tube n' worm.

....I guess by looking at the photo you could say she weighed "two chins"

I guess its time to hit the gym

That certainly is a nice fish. My son caught a 39.5 pound striper that was 45 inches long last spring. Based on this and other stripers we have caught, I am guessing your fish is at least 45 pounds. Pretty rare around here, I assume the same up in Mass.?

I'd place that fish between 45-55lbs, likely around 50lbs. My roomate had one that was 50lbs 1 oz this spring that was very similar in size. Yes the world record was 53", but that thing had a HUGE belly and the girth of that whole fish was huge. Your fish is a great one, I know of many guys who'd love to land one that big. My largest so far is 42lbs and it was smaller then that fish, but I have tons of years of fishing left so hopefully I can best that 50lb mark in my lifetime.

Very nice fish. My best striper this year was 41", but topped off somewhere around 25 pounds. She was big, but yours seems twice as fat. Its been a great year for bass around here, looks like the same in New England.

Cool chart, thanks.

There's still a few weeks left in the season, plus catch and release when the season is closed. Go get another one and weigh it!
