Hey Y'all,
My youngest turned 21 Sunday. On Saturday my friend Coconut took us out bottom fishing on his 330 ..Great boat and even better person. Caught a bunch of the rare and elusive red snapper . . Sunday we splashed the 228 and ran from Flager Beach to St. Augustine on the ICW to the Conch House where upon Cole got his first legal boat drink. Not a bad weekend where I got to install a new sound system , go fishing and celebrate with my son. We got him a Shimano Stradic 5000 reel paired with a St. Croix Avid medium heavy rod, a pair of Pelagics Lighthouse sunglasses and a book called the Way Forward about perseverance.
My youngest has epilepsy and he pushes through a lot of challenges in life that many of us will never have to experience. He is a stand up young man, college student, a Marching Knight and in a few weeks he and I are going to fish in the Reel Knights fishing club inshore tournament in the Mosquito Lagoon ,but in my Carolina Skiff. I joined as an alum and he as a student. Should be fun.
