Magical Bill,

We had a great time. Took our friend’s daughter and son in law up the inter coastal to the Gulf and anchored up at Casey Key for a swim. The kids were out of San Francisco. A lot of colder, foggy misty weather. They took a lot of videos and pictures. It was a tropical paradise for them.

Thanks for the forecast. Look me up the next time your up this way and keep in touch.

My gas gauge never has been dependable, so I always calculate when fuel is needed by the knots driven. With my Seafarer 228 with Yamaha 250 4 stroke it is consistently 2.5kn/gal. and have a 92 gal tank. We usually travel at 4000 RPM and put on 350-400 hours in a 7 month fishing period.

I run my plotter in statute miles because in many places I boat inland have regulations in speed in MPH and not knots. my Grady gets about 3.2 miles per gallon with a 4.2 liter F250. In the ocean it can drop to 2.25 to 2.75 depending on sea state of course.

I was surfing this post and the guy with Suzuki 250 back on September 8 was getting terrible performance out of that motor. My 228 will get up to 47-48 at WOT with a 4.2 liter f250 Yammy. it will cruise around 30 at 3,900 to 4,000 RPM.
