Hello Everyone,

I have a 2000 Gulfstream and my livewell pump isnt working. It is an old Rule 500GPH Aerator. From what I have learned so far, the newer Rule models have tabs that can be squeezed to remove the pump. This old model doesn't have any tabs. What is the trick to removing this thing?

Thanks!
Joe

Remove the hose from the body of the pump (seacock closed prior) and cut the electrical wire (battery disconnected prior). It should twist off the base. The base usually is attached at the mounting point with a couple of screws (block of wood under the glass to screw into).

Buy the Rule with the extra port, so that you can run an extra line off of it if you want to. Two lines off of one through hull.
