New 2019 engine on a 2023 GW?

When you say the warning manager has the 2019 data, is that inside the CL7 ? I believe that information is not stored in the engine ECM but in the software associated with your display. If that is the case your display may have been previously used or was not cleared from previous engine. I know my warning manager is a function of my Garmin’s NMEA2K connection and not a function of the ECM. I suspect that if you ran the YDIS diagnostic on your ECM you would find no history of warnings.

I think there is still a mfg date stamped somewhere on the block.

There is no "Model/Year" anymore. All outboard makers did that precisley because they don't want to have to discount "old" new inventory. New is new no matter how old it is.

If the model makes a big change, they change the part number. The range of serials will trace back to the year of assembly.
That was another concern of mine that if it was a 2019 it wouldn't be the latest version of the engine. Essentially paying full new price for an engine that is not the current model. Fortunately, such is not the case.

I bought the 250 DP AP in March of 2019 - so the five year warranty runs out next year - now has 370 hours on it.

should I suggest them to do a big review this coming November to see if there are any glaring things wrong that would be under warranty?

When I called customer service they verified that there were no service bulletins or recalls on the engine. Might be worth a call to see if there are any of those that need to be addressed.
