Successful launch

Picked boat up on Friday, ran it up and down Lake Washington Ship Canal and out into Lake Washington on Friday and Sat. Engine ran great, weather was 80 plus and lots of people out enjoying it.
Was able to put 10.6 hours on large engine and about hour on small engine. Everything has generally worked out great. Observations:
With a kicker on the port side and two men I was trimming starboard bow down to keep it running flat.
The 250 is very smooth and very quiet at lower speeds.
With a full load of fuel in 1-2' chop I could not get it much over 5600 rpm (40-41 mph) but not too much smooth water to play with it. I need to get out on the sound and adjust with the trim a little, hopefully I don't need to mess with the prop.
Took waves very well, comfortable ride
Delivery process from Jacobsen's was great.
They also delivered the boat with anchor and proper ground tackle, four adult life preservers, flares and 90 some gallons of fuel (yes!)
9.9 pushes the boat around 5 knots, fully connected steering at all times to 250, a little tough to steer the large engine. Second control for the four stoke is very good. I do have to switch a fuel tee when moving from one motor to the other; has anyone found an alternative to this?
Fit and finish very good. No warrentee issues to date.
Very comfortable and usable layout for 6-8 people if cruising and feels like you could fish 3 comfortably and four in a pinch, even if weather is not great.
There is not a lot of freeboard at the scuppers, The water is right below the floor drains, probably not a problem unless lots of fish and people in the stern :)
Storage areas and hatches are all really well thought out. Only thing I miss is water ski storage but there is some room outboard of the seats that may work.
I will post pictures after things settle down!

Congrats Leek. Nice boat/motor/trailer package, and great service. I once had a 24 Explorer with that 9.9 Yamaha kicker, and I found there was a second fuel pickup boss on the fuel tank, so I removed the brass plug and connected the kicker there. Worked great.

Check to see if you have another fuel pickup on your tank, that is not being used.
