oh sorry, I linked a chrome plated set, but either way, quite honestly dude, your posts are a bit obnoxious sometimes…I don’t think you really mean to be that way, just reread your posts to yourself before you submit. Btw I’ve had that set on my boat for 3 years with no rust.
My posts are a bit obnoxious sometimes? Because I disagreed with you? I had a cheap set of tools on my Arima one summer and midway through the next summer they were coated with rust to where the socket wrench wouldn't even rotate anymore because of the amount of rust. Also, I'm not going to reread my posts and change up my responses for fear of coming across as "a bit obnoxious sometimes" to one person that's been on here for just barely over a year and just because they want me to. That's not how life works, if you get offended or annoyed that easily then I feel sorry for you, and if you honestly don't like my posts, nobody is forcing you to stay here...

It can be "squished" into odd shaped gouges or holes (smaller ones)... or even plug a seacock "tube" (say the hose ruptured but you can't close the seacock because you never "exercised" it a few times a year). The Sta-plug works really well, too, for odd shaped things. But the wax ring is a nice "extra" to have and it's cheap.
Kinda what I figured. Makes me think of the flex seal pitchman!! " hole in the boat ? waxman is here" seriously, thats a great idea. Im getting some for each of my boats .

I think the pandemic is making a lot of folks cranky. I know that lately I am frequently tempted lately to respond to some posts in a rather negative tone. I try not to crank anyone up. Sometimes I have fallen a bit short of my goals:(
My approach these days is to read my responses a few times before sending to make sure they not confrontational. I also think it is best for all of us to avoid the back and forth "you, No You" exchanges. Just take a deep breath, smile and move on.
I was on a cruise last week and ran into a local selling fancy drinks on a skiff at a beach on a Caribbean island. His motto that he shouted out frequently was "It's nice to be nice" I think he has a good mindset.

Some good stuff here. I keep more tools in the trunk of my car and have a basic set of tools on board. I'm more worried about safety more than fixing things on the water. I use seatow although in all the years I've never needed it. I maintain the boat to the max and have only had a single breakdown (blown hydraulic line for the steering - replaced them all) in 20+ years. Ensure you have proper safety gear in a couple of ditch bags, some stay-afloat, a set of wooden dowels, basic tools for quick repairs, quality PFDs, life raft (I keep a valise), PLB, fixed and hand held VHFs and an EPIRB.
