My user name used to be "FutureOwner" but as a new Grady owner, I thought it appropriate to change it. I was fortunate enough to find an incredible deal on a 2006 Seafarer 228 in Louisiana. I took off in my Ford F150 Supercrew, checked out the boat, and pulled it 800 miles to it's new S Fla family.
I sincerely want to thank many members for the advice (answering my stupid questions) and time. Several of you have PM'd me with thoughts that have been very helpful. You have provided information about so many boating related issues including truck and towing info.
I will post a pic or two and will be bothering all of you with all kinds of questions. Right now, we are just very excited (wife and two little ones) about the new member of the family. She'a a beautiful boat and we think she'll be very happy here.
If these tropical systems would just go away, maybe I'll have a chance to get this boat wet in S Fla soon. On a serious note, I made a few new friends in Louisiana and I pray that the Hurricane weakens or turns away all together. They are wonderful people that I'll keep in my prayers...
Thank you all...
Vinny
