New Grady White Owner 2007 185 Tournament Opinions And Advice wanted

So I was convinced to sell my 86 Whaler for far more than I could have imagined and I found a 2007 185 tournament with a 2019 pacific tandem torsion axles that I pulled the trigger on. I've always wanted a Grady White and this kind of fell into my lap. I didn't want larger at this point because I use it as a sattlelight fishing boat to my big boat ( in the 3d pic) when I'm not using it for harbor cruises with the family and friends. It is very dirty as it has sat in a boat yard by Long Beach airport and I plan on a full detail. The motor is a clean 2007 Yamaha 150 with the latest balancer on it and it ran great. I paid 23k for it. ( I know, the boat market is crazy in southern Ca.) I plan a full service on the motor including all filters and a new set of injectors just to be safe. I will do all the work myself. My question for the experts... Do you like the 185 and what else should I look out for.. Be brutally honest.

If the boat ran great why replace the injectors? You probably will discover other things that may need more immediate attention. If you don't know when the following items were replaced, then replace them: Water pump, thermostats, spark plugs, motor mounted gas filter element and external water separator, lower unit should be pressure checked and oil changed. Change motor oil and filter if 4 stroke.
I can't tell a lot from the picture but you should replace the anodes. The tab on the anti-ventilation plate looks like it is due.

With Yamahas its considered a maintenance item. The fuel system is very picky.

It makes better sense to have them cleaned and tested. Replacing them will run about a grand for the parts. That said, if the motor runs great, I would not mess around with them

Yamaha's around that vintage can have the dry exhaust corrosion issues, but typically they're found in the larger motors like the F200's, F225's and F250's... though I'm sure some have probably had them in F150's before as well. I'd drop the lower unit and inspect the mid section while you're doing the other routine maintenance like the impeller, plugs, fuel/oil change and so forth.
