All:. Planning on replacing my helm seat on my 2008 330xpress. Anyone have any suggestions, hints, experiences? Thx so much.

I have a Stidd 500N series which is 23.5" wide including the arms. If I were to replace I'd be looking for something closer to 22 or 23" wide as it's a tight squeeze pas the helm seat. Also would want to be able to mount a grab bar on the back of the seat if it didn't have one already! (I put my own on)

I replaced my pompanette platinum with this pompanette with folding bolsters and folding arms. I also have 330 express, I did only for easier access into the v berth.

I also replaced with a Pompanette with folding bolster and arms. This seat fits well on my 282 has clearance to fully swivel around. It may be the same seat that Sibs has?

Question to Sibs,

Did your new seat fit onto your existing pedastal (i.e. Post) ?

And do you recall the name or model # of your purchase. I'm interested in doing the same as you.

I too have the pompanette platinum seat on my 2006 330.

Thanks,
Jack

I did a Llebroc Marlin. Great seat.

I have a 282 and i am looking to replace both the helm and passenger seats. I love this look on your 282. Can you provide the model number of the one you put on? Thanks!

T]hank you. Which pomponette model is this?

I bought it in April of 2019. Pompanette called it the Evolution. Model No. T7510A00. It was able to fully rotate on my then 8'6" beam 258 and now on my 282. Fit on the standard Grady (Pompanette) seat base on both boats. My lower back really appreciates this seat on long runs!

Only drawback is that Pompanette cannot sell you a seat in Grady's color. That color is reserved for Grady. They can only sell you the seat in white. But at a much reduced cost compared to buying from Grady dealer, at least in my one experience.

Great looking seats... the only issue that I have is are they really almost $2k per seat? That seems a bit spendy

They certainly weren't cheap, but I don't think I would have paid that much. But seems that boat and boat related prices have taken a pandemic leap. I'm pretty sure I got mine during a Pompanette sale. Maybe get yourself on Pompanette's email list. Maybe they still do boat show season sales?

Need to get the seat on my pompanette platinum recovered as it has a split. Wasn’t sure if I should get someone local or send to pompanette?

I reached out to them a year ago and got a quote of $1,150 to reupholster the cushions (back, back pan, seat, and arm pads).

On a side note, I have a little stress crack on both sides of chair. Anyone else have these?

Thank you so much!
All, I emailed Pompanette last week and got these replies. Hope you guys find this helpful. I'd love to get a pair but having a tough time justifying the cost as my original seats still do the trick and I just replaced all electronics and stereo system on my 282.

Hello Peter

That photo is of a Pompanette Evolution Series Chair with Grady Color upholstery (Soft Sand). Part #T7510A00
The chair sits on the same pedestal as your existing chairs.

Retail $2709.00 per chair.
We have a boat show special going for 2 chairs at $3000.00.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Sincerely

Vin Murray

I also asked him about the TGW2005 helm seats:

Hi Peter

The TGW2005 (shown below) is the chair Grady is putting on most of their new boats.
The price for those chairs are $1321.00 each. These would also fit on your existing pedestals.
These chairs have a 14 week lead time.

Thanks

Vin

Grady 33: No, my seats haven't experienced any cracking or tears in 2-1/2 years, fortunately.

Peter: That price for a single chair is way above what I paid a couple of years ago. And I'm surprised to see that we can buy the the Grady color now. The price for two is more reasonable (as boat-related prices go). Maybe members here can hook up for a joint order if they don't live too far apart?

We are replacing our Helm seat with the Llebroc SX Bucket seat. We decided to go to Lauderdale and test a few seats before laying down 2K. The SX was the most comfortable.
